Is it really free? What's the catch?
Yes. Running a comparison and viewing your report is completely free. If you choose to switch through us, the new retailer pays us a referral fee. We compare plans from the retailers we work with rather than the whole market, and we show you the numbers so you can judge the deal for yourself.
Do you compare every energy plan?
No. We compare plans from the retailers we work with, not the whole market, so we’re not an independent or whole-of-market comparison. What we can do is check your current bill against those plans and tell you, in plain numbers, whether there’s a better deal for you to move to.
Will you call me or sell my details?
No. We don’t pass your number to a call centre and we don’t sell your data to retailers, marketers, or anyone else. Your bill stays with us and is only ever shared with a retailer if you explicitly choose to switch. Full details are in our privacy policy.
How accurate are the savings estimates?
We use the actual rates from your bill and the published rates from each retailer, applied across a full year of usage. For households with steady usage that’s usually within a few percent; a big change (a new EV, a battery, a move) can shift things, and we flag when that’s likely.
What happens if I decide to switch?
The new retailer handles the switch end to end, including telling your old one. Your power doesn’t go off, your meter doesn’t change, and your address stays the same. Most switches complete within a couple of business days.
Do I need a Homerun account?
